Tapestry Moon Art Studio
Techniques
The techniques I use are a blend of
watercolor, inks, acrylics, oils, pencils,
pastels, airbrush and other mixed media.

I work on paper, canvas, wood and any other
surface that I get the chance to paint on!

I let my mind wander outside the mundane to
the unusual  and let the ideas come to me.

Each character that I create tends to have its
own personality...

I let that character in my head come forward,
to be put onto the sketch pad...
(It really gets interesting sometimes when
there is more than one creation at a time
trying to make it out!)

I draw my ideas in thumbnail sketches.
(On envelopes, sticky notes and scrap paper!)

I use live models as well as photo references
for my art. I then draw them freehand to the
final surface that I then ink and paint.

I am constantly working on new paintings,
and as I get them finished I will be adding
them to the site!

Come back and check for updates!
In addition to my fantasy and fairy art, I
paint images that deal with nature and
Native American themes.
I am of Cherokee descent (as well as my
European blood) and it influences some of
my art as well!
